UPDATE: The next issue of Shadow & Light Magazine is shaping up and will be released 5/15/2024! So far, we have Jamey Stillings and a review of his timely, compelling and beautifully-produced book, Atacama, as well as portfolios by Cig Harvey, J. Alan Constant, Kevin Black, Gary Pikarsky (image, above); and (of course) Eric McCollum and Steve Immel. We will also welcome back our very popular Single Image Showcase, which features photographers offering one full-page image in 6 consecutive issues of Shadow & Light Magazine. So far, we have enlisted Meredith Mullins, Mara Zaslove, John Custodio and Maria Zendejas, with more to come. Interested? Click here for additional information.

• New Call for Entry, "The Horse" (image above, Landry Major): As you might guess, there are a few people around New Mexico who love horses, so much so that it has come to my attention that in our 10 years of publication, we have never had an issue dedicated to these life-affirming, family oriented, four-legged friends. The July/August 2024 issue of Shadow & Light Magazine will feature nothing but horses! More details are being formulated at this time, but if you would like to gain early entry, you can click below to sign up for a low $25/15 image, early-entry fee. After May 15, the entry fee will be raised to $35/10 images. That's $10 more and 5 images less! By the way, you don't have to live in New Mexico to enter!

• There is a new newsletter Tim has been working on that might interest some of you. It is called, "the starter," and will be sent to inboxes every Monday morning and will contain just a few lines and links that will serve to add a positive note to the beginning of your week. It is issued free for the first 6 issues then you will be able to subscribe for only $6/month, or just continue receiving it for free! Tim simply tired of all the negativity in our neighborhoods and around the world and decided to open the door of possibility and positivity. By following the link you will be directed to a recent issue of "the starter" on the distribution platform. The links will be live. Try it!

••I am opening up my very popular series, One-2-One Coaching, which is comprised of six one-hour, in-person meetings, with at least one out-and-about shoot. I am opening this up again because I will not be teaching my regular summer classes at UNM Continue Education. I want to have an "open" summer where I can work more closely with photographers who want to do more with their photography. If you are a previous student of mine, you can access a very special price by clicking the last line of the this link to my personal site, Tim Anderson Studio.
