Spring has sprung, reader
|
As we ease into Spring, weather is creating havoc all over the country. Here, in Albuquerque, we are experiencing cold mornings, very windy days, an NO rain. Aaarggh!
|
• This Saturday I will be part of a two-person exhibit with Ann Hart Marquis. The title for the show is "Language of the Land" (image, above) and it focuses on Ann's acrylic interpretations of her visits to France and Ireland, as well as many locations in the Southwest. I have photographed the Southwest landscape for almost 20-years and will be hanging my prints without glass and there will be no reflections. The show is at The Curated Collective.

• In the next issue of Shadow & Light Magazine, which will be released May 15, 2023, there will be a feature article, written by E.E. McCollum, on photographers Torrance York and Stephen Starkman. I met them doing portfolio reviews for Los Angeles Center for Photography earlier this year, and found their stories to be very compelling. They are both struggling with life-altering medical conditions. Besides that they are each great photographers!
