• I am just about ready to release a new publication, "observations," that will be a zine all about me. As I write in the intro to #001, "After many years of publishing the artistic endeavors of others, I finally decided as I reached 80...to take off the mask and offer my personal observations on the many things that continue to impress and inspire me to continue photographing, traveling, writing poems and essays, as well as dabbling in other artistic adventures."
|
The zine will only be available in a print format to better enhance the viewing process. It will be released bi-monthly at 6x6-inches, with 40 pages and you will either be able to purchase single copies or grab an annual subscription. Single copies will be $15 and annual subscriptions will be $75, which will equate to one free issue.
|
If you are interested in "observations," click here and you will receive a one-time-only PDF for your perusal. It will cost you only $10, and I will send you the print copy (#001) as soon as I receive them (2-3 weeks). You will be under no obligation to purchase any further single copies or to subscribe.

• Just a few quick notes to let you know the May/June issue issue of Shadow & Light Magazine (SLM) is coming together very nicely. So far, we have Brooke Shaden, Stevie Raelynn, Holger Hoffman, Jeffrey Danneels, and Emon Hassan, who will be writing about his adventure in creating a zine. Both Eric McCollum and Steve Immel are returning to their usual spots in the magazine.

If you purchase this annual PDF subscription at only $14.50, your first subscribed issue will be the May/June issue of Shadow & Light Magazine, to be released May 15, 2026. You will also receive the current issue FREE! Click here to subscribe!

• the starter has now released 117 issues, that arrive in your inbox at 8am every Monday morning. I include short pieces that are inspirational and full of positive vibes, with a nod toward photography and poetry and good feelings. In the current issue, I chat about taking that first step, no matter your age, and there are a few other pieces that might fuel your creative process. In the section View here, I feature Nathalie Seaver and and her "Fleeting Florals" portfolio. Here is a link, if you are interested.
